I received a call a few months ago from Michael’s craft store asking if I would be interested in attending a blogger event in Dallas, Texas, at the start of June. Um, absolutely. We had no notion that we would be relocating to Colorado at the time.

The Night Of A Creative Blogger’s Dreams
On Thursday night, we engaged in socializing, crafting, and a delicious meal with motivational speakers (the night of a creative blogger’s dreams!). Then, on Friday, we visited the corporate offices and discovered a lot of fascinating information about the business. I had no idea, for instance, that Michael’s craft store offered its own product lines of comparable quality to big brands at a better price.
They had a display of all of their goods as well as wonderful crafts created by their talented creative team for us. What a treat for the eyes! Unsurprisingly, we all pulled out our cameras and looked around in wonder.

Then, we got to meet the creative team and visit their workspace. These women are very talented and inspirational. They develop craft concepts for each Michael’s craft store . The fact that so few people can meet that demand astounds me.
And the concepts they generate are incredible! Here are a handful of the craft and product pictures I took. After viewing so many original ideas, my brain began to really spin.
Michael’s Creative Expert Jo Pearson
At Jo Pearson’s house, Michael’s Creative Expert, we had the nicest lunch. Jo is such a delight and a gracious hostess! Her house is a fantastical world. I was amaze by everything enjoyable. Almost every corner was handcraft in a distinctive way, frequently with a dash of animal print and glitter as well. The house perfectly reflected her vivacious personality.
Michaels Craft Tutorial Videos
Everyone enjoyed exploring her wonderful home and taking pictures of it. Jo and her amusing demeanor can be seen in numerous Michaels craft tutorial videos. Visit your neighborhood Michael’s to look for her friendly face.
At the checkout counter in several establishments, they play music from her craft show. Meeting Amy and Jenn, two of my favorite party bloggers, made me incredibly happy. Those party girls know how to have a good time!
Michaels Store Crafting Space Is Wonderful
We went to a michaels craft store after lunch to continue our crafts. You Dallas readers should know that this happened at the Southlake shop. The crafting space is wonderful! I’d really like to hold a girls’ day or birthday celebration there soon. Who’s there My favorite part of the trip was without a doubt the time I spent crafting with the wonderful Michael’s creative team and blog buddies!
Michaels Certainly Has A Flair For Organizing Events
We created cards, jewelry, cake decorations, stamps, and paintings. Michaels certainly has a flair for organizing events. When the wonderful mixed media artist Kathy Kromer showed us how to use Derwent Intense Pencils, it quickly became one of my favorite crafts on michaels coupons discounts.
Although they appear to be regular-color pencils, they transform into paint when you wet paint your artwork with them. What a great product! What I painted is visible above. These are a new kind of pencil that I had never heard of before, and now both my kids and I are adduct.
Custom Stamps Were A Great Kid-Friendly Activity
Custom stamps were a great kid-friendly activity at michaels craft store that I had never attempted before. Watch Kathy demonstrate how to create personalized stamps from foam paper in this little video. You and your kids will both enjoy it because it is SO simple!
Being In The Company Of Inspiring Bloggers Was A Blast
Additionally, we discovered these fascinating Wilton Sugar Sheets. Everyone enjoyed using punches to create amusing shapes to decorate a cake with them. This product is fantastic, and the cakes are very sweet! I was the only one who didn’t need it.
